This is the #2291W Denver & Rio Grande Super-O Freight Set that Lionel made in 1957. This Set includes the #2379 D&RG F-3 AB Diesels with Dual Motors, Magnetraction and Horn, the #3530 Operating Generator Car Set (Short Stripe, Blue Tanks, Black Base), the #6464-525 M&SL Box Car, the #3562-75 Orange Operating Barrel Car, the #3444 Animated Cop & Hobo Gondola and the colorful and matching #6657 D&RG Illuminated Caboose. Our Opinion is that the Set is generally in Excellent to Excellent Plus Condition; used but not abused. The Original Set Box is in (8) Condition; firm with a good number and some typical wear to the top flaps. The Inner Boxes generally range in (8) to (8+) Condition, the Barrel and Generator Cars are missing their Inserts. The Corrugated P-Unit (sealed one-end) and Late Classic B-Unit Boxes are complete without any tape or repairs and are in (8+) Condition; includes a slightly oversized #2356 B-unit Insert that will need slight modification to properly fit. We have include 39 Pictures for your review. All Original in our Opinion. Please add $75.00 for US-48 Shipping and Insurance.
