Spectacular 1956 Original Lionel Consumer Catalog Artwork

These are two heavy cardstock boards of spectacular original Lionel Post-War Artwork for the 1956 Consumer Catalog. This artwork was for the B&O and Milwaukee Road F-3 Freight Sets that were offered on pages 22 and 23 of the 1956 Consumer Catalog. They are approximately 25% over-sized in relation to the actual catalog (an original 1956 Lionel catalog [not included] is pictured for comparison). This amazing lot was unexpectedly found by an art dealer at an Estate Auction in New Jersey (See lot #700 for similar 1954 Catalog artwork). Each of these two boards has renderings that were hand-drawn-and-colored on art-paper. After completion, the artwork was cut-and-pasted to two separate heavy-weight boards. Pay particular attention to the Fram, Log Cabin, and Snow Crop Billboards; each of these Billboards were also hand-drawn-and-colored. With professional framing, this will become an outstanding piece of wall d?cor for the Train Room. And, it will not take anywhere near the space required for posters. What more can we say? Here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a rare piece of Lionel history. Our Opinion is that they are generally in Excellent Plus Condition. All Original in our Opinion.
