Scarce Lionel 1946 #1401WR Set Box

This is the odd Lionel #1401WR Set Box from 1946. The normal #1401W Set included yjr 1654 Steam Engine, 1654W Whistlew Tender, a 2452 Pennsylvania Gondola, a 2465 Sunoco Tank Car, a 2472 Pennsylvania Caboose, 027 Track, and a 1041 60 Watt transformer. We believe the WR addition on this Set Box means that in additional to a whistle tender, the R indicates the normal transformer was replaced with the larger R transformer for those areas of the county - due to their electrical grid limitations - which needed a larger transformer to operate this set. Lionel had a habit before World War II of using the W with another letter in the Set Number to indicate an additional element. For example, in the 6401 Uncataloged Set from 1939, the #6401WF had a whistle tender and flagman, while the 6401WC had the whistle tender and remote control track. Less than 5 of these Set Box have been found.
